VIVA’s Featured Member Artist for September is M’Lou Wilkie
“I primarily design and create stained glass windows. I take my inspiration from nature. I love being outside and am especially attracted to water. I am aware of our delicate balance with the environment and try to express the importance of the tiny beings in my stained glass work. In my windows, I use a mix of transparent and opaque glass. Color, texture and composition are key to my designs.”
VIVA’s September Guest Artist is Encaustic & Mixed Media Artist Deb Munson
Deb Munson is an encaustic and mixed media artist, her main focus is encaustic art. Encaustics involve hot wax painting, the process of using heated medium to which colored pigments have been added. Molten medium is then applied to a surface. She is a self-taught artist working out of an upcycled chicken coop now known as Coop Studio.

VIVA’s Featured Member Artist for July is jeweler, Alena Mack
“I am most influenced and inspired by nature. I grew up surrounded by nature, and try to live as close to nature as I possibly can. I feel the most at peace in the mountains, at the ocean and in the woods. I try to bring this feeling of peace and nature into my work. “
VIVA’s July Guest Artist is Illustrator and Printmaker John Miller
“In my fine art I focus on natural spaces and natural phenomena with a particular interest in how what we see effects what we think, feel, and believe we know about the world around us.”
