March | Ben Richgruber
Glass Artist
My work often explores the flow of hot glass. Using heat, gravity, and a little luck, the glass flows to create unique patterns and designs. Sometimes metal and plaster casting molds are used to create more complex and sculptural forms. Every project teaches me something new, so even if it doesn't go as planned, it's still (at least a little bit) successful.

April | Leanne Poellinger
Collage Artist
Each of my colorful "paper paintings" are deeply textured, colorful, and detailed images that are created from bits of cut and torn paper, carefully layered, piece by piece, as a painter applies brush strokes. Some pieces also include ink or acrylic paint.
The enamel art jewelry starts as a piece of hand-cut copper sheet . I carefully cleaned the copper shape and applied multiple layers of enamel, which is finely powdered glass, to both sides of each piece. Sometimes I add details with special enamel paint and a tiny brush. Each application is fired with a torch or in a 1450 degree kiln and then cleaned before the next layer can be added. This process is repeated two to six times per piece. -
May | Pete Sandker
DAAF Peoples Choice Award winner
I work at a landscaping company. I love it. I paint because I have to. I don't know if I believe in muses, but I definitely feel like the images are shown to me somehow, and I need to try to get them down as closely as possible. I don't know what the paintings mean. That is your job. Please tell me.
