My art is driven by my love of nature. I want the student to see the diversity, intricacy and beauty of our natural world. If I can make someone pause and consider the importance of protecting our natural environment, I’ve succeeded.

My compositions are simple; I want the details to shine. I love the details and the subtleties and nuance of color. My favorite medium is colored pencil because it gives me the control over color and detail that I need. I also love to work in graphite, watercolor pencils and pen and ink.

As an instructor, I love working with people—and I especialy enjoy teaching beginners. I work to make a connection with each student and to create a welcoming environtent where each student can excel.
