Rebecca Kobos’s art reflects the fact that she spends her summers in Iowa on the Mississippi and her winters on the gulf coast of Florida. Each location influences her work.

She uses fabric to create realistic and whimsical images in her collages.  Some of her favorite subjects are cats, birds, plants, faces, and landscapes.  Her work combines strong colors, line, shapes and textures.

  Rebecca uses free-motion stitching to draw into these “fabric sketches” to add detail.  Her pieces often include both commercial fabric and fabrics that she hand-dyes.
